Civil society dialogue to discuss EU–Thailand trade sustainability impact assessment

On Monday 19 January 2026 (14:30–16:00 CET), the European Commission (DG Trade and Economic Security) will host an EU Trade Dialogue with Civil Society to exchange views with EU civil society organisations on the ongoing Trade Sustainability Impact Assessment (SIA) supporting negotiations for an EU–Thailand Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Following an introduction by the Commission, the SIA project team will present and discuss the draft inception report and heatmap, before moving to an open discussion with stakeholders.

The SIA is being implemented by a consortium led by Milieu Consulting, in partnership with LSE Consulting and Tutwa Europe, with support from the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI).
